SHOCKING: Choir Member Leads Gang To Church To Kidnap Church Member's Son

Israel Ekwuruibe is a devout catholic. Aside attending church regularly, he was a member of the choir at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Finima in Bonny, Rivers State.

On Sunday, September 29, he went to church and sat on the choir pew, using his baritone voice to sing praises to God.
But deep within him was a sinister plan that had been conceived along with five others to kidnap the little son of a church member for a ransom. As soon as he sighted the car of their target, Israel made a sign to other gang members who were also within the church building, pretending to be genuine worshippers. The other suspects were Ifeanyi who was said to have formed the gang, Godswill Bernard, Loveday Anakwuru, Ogechi Nwosu (also a church member) and Odinaka Gabriel.
Before anyone knew what was happening, little James (not real name) was nowhere to be found. Israel and other gang members found their way out of the church but it did not take long before their evil deed became exposed. They were picked one by one in Finima. The leader, who had gone as far as Akwa Ibom State with the child, was apprehended along the way by the military joint task force before any ransom could be collected.
This was how the Rivers State Police Command recently thwarted the plans of a kidnap gang, which thought it would make cool millions from a staff of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Bonny (names withheld) by kidnapping his three-year-old son.

Crime Reports gathered that the kidnapped boy’s father reported at the Finima Division that he could not find his three-year-old son while in church. At about 3.45p.m., the man was said to have returned to the station, saying that someone called him with number 07010806571 and demanded for N15million as ransom. The Divisional Police Officer in charge of the division, Mohammed Suleiman Baba, a Superintendent of Police, reportedly swung into action while asking the man to play along by saying that he only had N50,000.
The Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu reportedly put the entire command at alert while the anti-kidnapping section of the command also went to work. At about 7.30p.m., Crime Reports learnt that operatives from Finima Division, assisted by the Finima Youth Congress, arrested Loveday, Godswill and Odinaka based on suspicion that they knew something about the kidnap.
Police investigation eventually revealed that Ifeanyi was the gang leader.
However, a joint task force of the Army and the police intercepted and arrested him along Akwa-Ibom-Port Harcourt road and rescued the child from him.
It was said that police investigations also revealed that Israel and Ogechi were the ones who brought the idea of kidnapping the son of the LNG staff who attended the same church with them.
In an interview with Crime Reports, Godswill Bernard (20), from Akwa Ibom State, said the kidnap idea was sold to him by Ifeanyi who was a fellow okada rider. According to Godswill, “I never knew he was involved in kidnapping. He started talking to me, saying that God would use the rich to bless the poor if they do not realise that what they are doing is bad. He promised to help me. I didn’t understand the meaning then.
“In September, Ifeanyi told me that I would soon understand all he was telling me in parables. One day, he invited me to a gathering and introduced me to Israel, one of the six men he was discussing with. Israel was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Finima. They were all speaking Igbo. It was that night that I knew Ifeanyi was planning kidnapping.
“On Sunday, September 29, we went to the church. I was told that a girl who is a member of the church would bring a young boy out. Israel was in the church. I didn’t know when Ifeanyi’s girlfriend, Chukwuodi, carried the boy but immediately I saw the child’s mother looking for him, I knew our gang had struck.”
In his own words, Odinaka (22) from Abia State, a father of three children, said “I had never been involved in kidnapping. This is my first time. It was because there was nothing to do except the okada job. I am an orphan and have no one to take care of me.
I was invited to Israel’s house one day by fellow okada riders and they started discussing about the issue. Though I sat with them, I didn’t show interest. I did not even follow them but I was told that I would be given something if they could get a ransom.”
Ogechi (26) also disclosed that “Israel had once called me to introduce the idea of kidnapping a church member’s child but I told him I could not do it. This time, he called me again and said I should join them, telling me that he did not like the job I was doing. I replied him that I was not complaining.
“He said that I would help them carry the child out since children in the church are close to me. I told him I could not do it because people would have noticed the child with me. He volunteered to do it but Ifeanyi said he could not do it, promising to bring his girlfriend to do the job.
“I didn’t tell the church authorities because they were threatening me and I was so scared. That was where I displayed foolishness. I was not the one who gave them the child.”
On his involvement, Israel Ekwuruibe (30), also an okada rider, said “I was among the gang but they had already planned the job. Ifeanyi, Odinaka, Loveday and Godswill came to me before I introduced Ogechi to them.
“On the day we carried out the job, I was on the choir stand and I attended both first and second services. I didn’t know who actually brought the child out but it was Ogechi who described the vehicle that the parents of our target used to bring to church. When they came, I was the one who pointed the vehicle to Godswill. I was in my house when police came to arrest me later.”
Also, Loveday Anakwuru (25) told Crime Reports: “I am also a member of the church. It was not my intention to join in evil plan but I did so out of frustration. I am an orphan and there was nobody to help me.”
Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers State, Lawan Usman, told Crime Reports that the suspects were still being investigated. He attributed the success of the police in rescuing the kidnapped victim to prompt report made by the father.

A 14-Year-Old Boy Is Now Under Investigation Over Allegations That He Raped A Nine-Year-Old Girl To Death.

It was revealed that she sustained injuries as a result of consistent rape.
She was reportedly raped over 5 times by Onyi Adimabua, in Lagos.
According to the father of the victim, Onyi is the son of the proprietor of the school his daughter attended.
The 77-year-old man said his daughter died on October 3, 2013.

He said, “Up until my daughter’s death, she was a pupil of Fulfilled Greenland School, Ikorodu, and she was in primary three. One day, she came home and started complaining of pains around her vagina, stomach area. We rushed her to Ikorodu General Hospital.

“A doctor checked her and after conducting some tests on her, told us that my daughter had sustained medical complications due to forced sexual intercourse. I was alarmed by this; so, I had a private discussion with my daughter.

“She told me that it was her school proprietor’s son, Onyi, that had been raping her. The boy had threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone about it.”
He also recounted that after initial treatments, he took his daughter to Arogbo in Ondo State to be taken care of but her condition continued to deteriorate.

A few days after the troubled father travelled to Ondo State, Onyi, accompanied by his parents, also travelled to Ondo State, to apologise to Jigo’s family. The girl, however, was said to have died that very day.
“On getting to the house where my daughter was, we discovered that she was dead. Onyi confessed that he had been raping my daughter prior to her death,’ Jigo said.

Onyi’s parents,  have described the incident as the handiwork of the devil.
The 14-year-old boy’s father, Andrew Adimabua, said, “I trained that boy in the way of the Lord and expected so much from him. He has confessed to the act; there is nothing to hide. He told me that he learnt about sex by watching blue (pornographic) films.

“We are not hiding him and we will cooperate with the police. On the day the little girl died, he was beaten up and made to stay in the rain for hours. As a result, he contracted pneumonia so we sent him home for treatment. When he recovers, he’ll be taken to the police for questioning.”

SACRILEGE: American Baptist church sets to burn Bibles

Baptist church in the USA has concluding plans to burn Bibles on Thursday, October 31.

Justifying the planned action, Pastor Marc Grizzard, of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Canton, North Carolina, said that the first King James translation of the Bible is the only true declaration of God’s word, and that all others are “satanic”.

biblesPastor Grizzard and 14 other members of the church plan to burn copies of the other “perversions” of Scripture on Halloween, according to a report in Britain’s Telegraph.

“The New Revised Version Bible, the American Standard Version Bible, and even the New King James Version are all pronounced to be works of the Devil by Pastor Grizzard and his followers, the paper said.

It quoted Pastor Grizzard as saying: “I believe the King James version is God’s preserved, inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God… for English-speaking people. We are burning books that we believe to be Satanic.”

As well as inappropriate translations from the original Hebrew and Aramaic, the pastor and his associates will be burning books by various Christian authors, as well as music of every genre.

911 Emergency Number Active In Lagos?

A colleague shared the experience of how his neighborhood in Ketu was thrown into Chaos yesterday evening. Area boys seeking to collect ‘rent’ (owo ile) from the owner of a 20 feet container unleashed terror on their Ketu neighbourhood, maiming people and vandalising parked vehicles.

In the heat of the mayhem, he couldn’t remember any emergency number other than the 911 ingrained in his brain from watching American films, and he dialled it just for the sheer hell of it.

Surprisingly, a dispatcher picked it, got the particulars of the area, including the nearest bus stop, promised that the nearest police station would be contacted immediately and, wait for this, thanked him for remembering to dial 911. About an hour later, the police stepped in to rein in the miscreants and restore order.

Student Breaks Unilorin Record, Gets First Class In Law

Abiodun Kazeem is the first graduate to bag the first class grade in the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin,

If you call him a jinx breaker, you are not far from the truth. The reason is that many students had tried to graduate from the University of Ilorin with a first class degree in Law for many years, but they failed for one reason or the other. Finally, on Tuesday, however, Abiodun Kazeem achieved the feat, drawing accolades from many people.

Kazeem studied Common and Islamic Law at the institution, which became a full fledged university in 1976. Achieving this feat, according to him, is something he will always cherish. But he never forgets to note that his march through the system was a tough one.

For instance, he recalls that he did not get admission into the university on a platter of gold. He sat for the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board’s examination twice, in the course of which some of his friends tried to convince him to forget about applying again.

“The first time I sat for JAMB was in 2007,” Kazeem says. “I did not get the cut-off point. But I was bent on studying law. So, in 2008, I obtained the JAMB form and sat for the examination the second time. I was successful this time around.”

Between 2007 and 2008, he worked with one of his uncles, Mr. Tahiru Adeosun, who has a law firm in Ilorin. While the experience might have influenced his academic strides on campus, from his first day in the institution, he had his mind set on obtaining first class degree. Yet, some of his colleagues tried again to discourage him. They reminded him that no one had ever achieved that feat in the institution as far as the faculty was concerned. But he remained resolute.

He says, “From the day I entered the university, I wanted to make a first class. I thought that my experience in my uncle’s law firm could be used to optimise my ability. But some of the challenges I had have to do with the issue that nobody had made it. Some of my colleagues who noted that I was so focused on my studies discouraged me. Many of them said, ‘You can never have it. You do not need to disturb yourself.’’’

Twenty-six-year-old Kazeem, who hails from Iganna in Oyo State, says he is from a polygamous home. His father, Muideen, has 12 children. His mother, Mulika, gave birth to six of them. He states that settling for Law in the higher institution was largely due to the influence of his uncle.

Perhaps, he could have read Mass Communication and not Law. According to him, his nickname in secondary school was Mr. Mass Communication, due to his writing skills and gift of oration.

He recounts his days at Community Grammar School, Iganna. “I decided to read Law because my uncle, a lawyer, inspired me. I wanted to study Mass Communication. I was very eloquent and I was in the Press Club in the secondary school. But when I got to my uncle’s chamber, he influenced and inspired me to read Law. I never dreamt of becoming a lawyer,” he says.

Beaming with excitement and a sense of accomplishment, Kazeem adds that this feat is an honour for his generation and his people in Oyo State.

For now, he is preparing for the Law School, after which he will choose between three directions he has envisioned for himself. He hopes to become a lecturer, to inspire young people, practise Law or participate in politics, either actively or passively.

Kazeem is one of the 41 graduands from various faculties in the university who bagged first class degrees at the ceremony, with 1,088 making second class upper; 2,435 had second class lower. In the third class degree category are 1,082 students and 214 had ordinary Pass.

See A Fake R. Kelly Dupes Fans In Louisiana

ake-kelly-dupes-fans-louisiana

The King of R&B, R. Kelly was nowhere to be found at the R.Kelly Live In Concert in Louisiana last weekend as fans waited for three hours after buying tickets to the show. Instead, a fake R. Kelly showed up late and lip sung throughout the concert, according to 8 News.

Reports say fans haven’t stopped complaining bitterly after paying good money [$150] only to get a lip-synching impostor perform in the same concert at the Monroe Civic Center,La. Organizers apparently advertised the singer Saturday night [Oct.26] but once a performer finally took the stage, it wasn’t the real R.Kelly.

According to an eye witness, the same guy was spotted in a local restaurant earlier that day and when fans ran to him for pictures and autograph, he shunned them and took off almost immediately. It was the same guy who rocked the stage R. Kelly was suppose to perform, hours later.[Watch video below]

Now, those in attendance want their $150 back!

The promoter of the show, Cedric Johnson [for Ced’s Black Tie Affair] had earlier said [through a text message to KNOE media] he would honor refunds but later, he claims he didn’t send any text message and wouldn’t refund a dime to anyone.

It’s still unclear whether R. Kelly was actually ever scheduled to appear at the concert because according to reports, promoters are denying that he was supposed to perform, while attendees maintain the performance was advertised.

The singer, whose new album “Black Panties” is scheduled for a December release, has not commented on the Monroe concert. He performed Sunday night in Southaven, Mississippi, according to Kelly’s Instagram.

What Do You Guys Think About The Recent Increment In DSTV Subscription Fees ?

I can see DSTV are bent on drying up the pocket of the average man, how can they just bump the price of subscription all of a sudden without any prior consultation with the customers? I mean, my fellow country people, I think they are just taking a p*ss now, they cannot try this rubbish in South Africa where they are from but they do this to Nigerians always, should we continue paying such exorbitant fees just for subscription?

Requirements and Risks For Starting A Poultry Business In Nigeria

Nigerians Abroad: Answering The Question "Where Are You From"

OK, I spent some years in Nigerian before relocating abroad, but I tend to constantly have this problem whenever I come across a fellow Nigerian man. Usually the Non-Nigerians are cool when they just ask are you from Africa, and you say Yes, thats it, the whites, hispanic and Asians just really consider that if you are not American they you are from "Africa" /End of discussion. But in the spirit of aproko that has been bestowed on all of us, Nigerians like to poke nose, when even when you answer you are from Nigeria they insist what side, which state and which local government area (seriously?). Ok my problem is that when I was in Nigeria, I was born and grown in a state that is not same as where my parents are from (although I perfectly understand my mothers tongue, but my native tongue is of the state where I was born and spent most of my teen/adult life in), this seems to be creating an identity crisis as I have never been to the state where my parents were born (where they are from?), So I just end up telling the nosy Nigerians where I was born (I assume thats where I am from?) then eventually when they get to see my name they exclaim (Loud Nigerians, especially the Yorubas) - Ah, you are from where and you said you are from here, then I have to start telling them all my life history (I feel this annoying).

In a nut shell where is a person really "from"?? Is it where you grew up?, where you were born or where your parents are "from"? (born)

"How My Cousin Married By Boyfriend" - Nollywood Actress Opens Up

Nollywood actress, Mina Horsefall recently opens up on what she describes as the worst betrayal of her life.
In an interview with Encomium magazine this week, she talks about how her boyfriend (now ex) who she dated for two years, and her cousin, utterly betrayed her and broke her heart.
She reveals that she still has not gotten over the betrayal and that she does not think she will ever forgive both of them.

Hear her:
"My first cousin and my ex betrayed me. The whole story is complicated. She dated my boyfriend and married him. I had no idea what was going on until they were about to get married because she was pregnant for him. I did not introduce him to her. She knew him. He was my Uncle's best man and we were in the bridal train. He met us together and went after me. We had a relationship for some years, two years at a stretch, then it became off and on and all those times she knew. She was even engaged to someone else at the time. Unknown to me she 'worked' her NYSC down to Lagos to have my boyfriend. She was living with him and it didn't make any sense to me. Until later on, I found out they were getting married. What pained me most and the worst part of it was when I got to hear about it and confronted him, he said he can never do anything with my sister.and there you are getting her pregnant and marrying her. It got all messed up. This happened in September 2012. I haven't forgiven them. I don't think I ever will"
What do you think of her story? Have you ever experience such betrayal or know anyone else who has? Do you have any advice for her?

Lagos Begins Registration Of Bus Drivers, Conductors 1 Nov

The Lagos State Government has earmarked 60 days to register all commuter bus drivers, owners and conductors in the state in southwest Nigeria, beginning from 1 November, 2013.
The exercise is in conformity with the Road Traffic Law 2012 aimed at improving the availability, safety, security and the quality of service delivery of public transportation.
The government said this step had become necessary in order to regulate the operations of commercial passenger vehicles and public transportation operators for efficiency, safety and security as well as the sustainability of the implementation of a safe, efficient and reliable public transport system in line with the provisions of the law.
Commissioner for Transportation, Kayode Opeifa, who addressed a cross-section of the leadership of the various transport unions in the state, said the new system includes the re-introduction of Commuter Bus Routing Scheme, Commercial Passenger Vehicle Licensing, Corporate Outlook for Transport Operators (use of Uniforms and Badges) and the implementation of passenger insurance for all commercial passenger vehicles on Lagos State roads.
“From the commencement date, all commercial bus owners, drivers and conductors are to visit any of the twenty-one zonal offices of the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) nearest to them for accreditation and documentation free of charge. The process involves the physical examination of vehicles and particulars to ascertain its road worthiness status and the submission of detailed personal data of the commercial vehicle owner who thereafter will be issued a public transport operator license.
“Drivers and conductors are to visit any of the five Lagos State Drivers Institute, LASDRI, centres across the state where they will be accredited and issued with Lagos Commercial Passenger Vehicle Driver’s and Conductors Badge after completing the mandatory LASDRI training,” he said.
The commissioner also solicited the support and co-operation of all stakeholders to ensure the success of the programme designed to further restore and reposition the sector for better productivity, service delivery and improved quality of life for all Lagosians.
